Have you ever wondered what a Salt Room is or why it is good for you? Well Look no further!
First, let's talk about Himalayan Salt.
What is it...Himalayan salt is mined from the Salt Range mountains, the southern edge of a fold-and-thrust belt that underlies the Pothohar Plateau south of the Himalayas. Some people describe pink Himalayan salt as one of the purest salts available, and say it boasts several health benefits.
Why is it good for you... It is said that it can:
Balance Electromagnetic Radiation. Cleanse, Deodorize, and Purify Air.
Calm Allergies and Reduce Asthma.
Alleviate Coughing and Other Symptoms of the Common Cold.
Boost Blood Flow.
Raise Energy Levels
Sharpen Concentration and Performance.
Enhance The Mood.
Now let's break that down a little.
Salt Therapy is a therapeutic and 100% natural, drug-free, non-invasive treatment. Salt therapy is a method of inhaling pure, dry, micronized salt air particles. These particles reach the deepest area of the lungs absorbing bacteria and pollutants and providing an anti-inflammatory and cleansing effect. This process supports and strengthens the body’s immune system by eliminating toxins and allergens that are trapped within the mucus lining of the respiratory system.
How does salt therapy work?
Advocates say this process breaks up mucus and reduces inflammation, resulting in clear airways. The salt particles are said to have a similar effect on your skin by absorbing bacteria and other impurities responsible for many skin conditions. Salt is also said to produce negative ions.
Some people are concerned about the intake of salt because of issues relating to diet, high blood pressure, and hypertension. This type of salt intake is connected to the digestive tract. Dry salt therapy is different since it associated with the respiratory system. When inhaled, the amount of micro salt particles entering the respiratory system is extremely low, so it doesn’t present any risk to your health. It actually kills bacteria, reduces inflammation, and expands airways.
The only people who should avoid being in a salt therapy chamber are those with severe chronic respiratory issues and those with open wounds and sores. It is advisable that people going into a salt chamber remove all personal jewelry, glasses and other belongings since salt can be corrosive to exposed metal.
How are we different then other Salt Therapy Rooms?
We will not be using a Halogenator, which is an HVAC system that blows salt particles through the air. Instead we did our research and will be using a smaller more personal system called Salin Plus. These smaller individual system will still release salt particles into the air BUT it will not coat your skin, clothing, or anything else, while you get the same benefits.
